2-Day Luxury Cruise, Balcony & Bathtub

About this experience

Check-in is at Tuan Chau Marina in Ha Long at 11:30. Lunch is served as the ship sails out, and the afternoon outing is in Lan Ha or on its edge: Dark and Light Cave by bamboo boat, or kayaking in the Tra Bau lagoons. Day 2 brings Ao Ech, then brunch on the way back. You are ashore again by about 11:15. Apart from the sail out and back, the trip is Lan Ha.

The price includes the cabin, four meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast, brunch), the entrance fee, a sunset party, the cooking class, tai chi, fishing gear, insurance on board and the kayak or bamboo boat. The shuttle from the Hanoi Old Quarter or Ninh Binh is an extra $25 per person. Drinks cost extra and, according to one 5-star guest, are not cheap. Dec 24, Dec 31 and Lunar New Year add $40 per person.

A cabin sleeps up to three, and one child under 5 stays free per room. The standard trip runs up to 50 guests; a small-group option of up to 6 is sold on the same listing. Kayaking is on the itinerary, but kayak rules in Lan Ha have changed several times since late 2024, and on some days crews switch to a rowed bamboo boat at the caves. Treat the kayak as likely, not promised.

The guide and staff was very friendly and engaging, activities all of the times and beautiful view. Only pushback is drinks are expensive on the boat. Other than that, amazing experience.

Tips before you book

  • Register full passenger details and any diet needs in advance. The operator asks for both.
  • Budget for drinks. Use the 2-for-1 happy hour at sunset.
  • The $12 Senior Suite upgrade is small money for a second-floor view, and the free upgrade only happens when there is space.
  • Avoid Dec 24, Dec 31 and Tet unless you want the gala: the surcharge is $40 a head.
  • Do not bring plastic bags: the listing bans them on board.
